Good morning Greenville Middle School!
Keep working hard to finish the week out Spartan STRONG! I am seeing the great things with the Greenville Greens that students have received so far this week. Keep up the great work! As of this morning, we have 528 Greenville Greens since the start of remote learning. Let's push that number higher today!
Please remember that you all are expected to participate in your learning each day. The learning opportunities the teachers are providing you do allow you to work at your own pace and absorb the content.
Students, just a reminder 5-week interim period ends next Friday, May 15th. It is important for you to make sure if you have some Working Towards (W) as a grade that you redo and resubmit the assignment. If you have any Incompletes (I) please complete and submit them. Please reach out to your teachers if you have any questions.
Mr. Hash is looking for students to video themselves reading books for our elementary students. If you are interested please email Mr. Hash at hashd@greenvillecsd.org.

Students if you are interested in helping New York State with coronavirus, they are looking for videos that demonstrate why it is so important to wear a mask in public. The winning video will be used as a Public Service Announcement. Please click on the link for more details if you are interested. Videos must be submitted by May 15th.

KINDNESS - Making a Difference
Have you heard Aesop’s story “The Lion and the Mouse”? It goes something like this:
As the lion lies sleeping in the sunshine, the little mouse runs across his paw and wakes him up. The lion is going to eat him up, when the little mouse cries, “Oh, please, let me go. Someday I may help you.” The big lion thinks that’s an amusing idea and decides to set the mouse free. Not long after, the lion finds himself caught in a net and the little mouse gnaws through the rope and sets the lion free.
So what’s the moral of this story? Whether we are big or small, mighty, or meek, we all have within us the power to be kind.
In the word of Sophocles,
Kindness begets (produces) kindness….
Today, be a mighty individual. Be kind to others. It could make a big difference in their lives, and maybe your own.
