high risk sports have been authorized by the NYSDOH to begin
practice and competition on February 1st, 2021 if permitted by the respective local health authorities.

The Greenville Lady Spartans lost to Maple Hill in the Patroon Conference Tournament ending their season with an 8-1 record. Great season ladies. We are proud of you.
The Greenville cross country team participated in the Patroon Conference Meet this past weekend. The boys team came in fist place and the girls team came in second. Both Tess Fitzmaurice and Ryan Russell placed first. Great job Lady Spartans and Spartans. Nice season.
On October 27th the Greenville girls tennis team participated in the Patroon Conference Tournament. Bryn Fitzmaurice won the singles tournament. Lauren Rauf lost in the singles semi-final round. Stephanie Horlacher & Jaden Burke lost in the doubles final. Great job Lady Spartans.

NYSPHSAA ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF 2020 WINTER STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Latham, NY-The New York State Public High School Athletic Association announces the cancellation of
the remaining winter state championship events. The impacted championship events include the boys
and girls basketball regional and state championships, as well as the ice hockey and bowling
championships. Plans are being developed to honor and formally recognize the students and teams
who qualified to participate in these championship events.
The GAA Annual Spaghetti dinner has been canceled. We thank all of those people who have donated the food items needed to have the dinner. These foods have been shared with the District to be given to GCS families in need.

ALL SECTION 2 GAMES/CONTESTS POSTPONED: Section 2 notified school districts today that all Section 2 members schools must postpone all scrimmages, all league games and all non-league contests until April 19, 2020.
