Kindergarten Moving Up Day!
(Updated Information for Families)

10:45-11:15 Mrs. Thela’s class
11:30-12:00 Miss Vincent’s class
Where: The SOUTH parking lot at Scott M. Ellis
How: Please wear your class (color) t-shirt!
We will continue to use physical distances of 6 feet.
We love our kindergarteners, but this is a hug-free event.
The use of face masks is strongly encouraged.
Why: Because we are proud of all they have accomplished during this most
remarkable year!
As kindergarteners and parents arrive at the SOUTH parking lot, they will be given directions to park in prepared parking spaces. In order to maintain social distancing, everyone will remain in their cars. Each teacher will recognize their students one-by-one and invite them (and ONE adult) to join the teacher to get their certificate and have their photo taken (by the parent who walks the child to the teacher - we will take a back-up photo too). Children will then return to their car so the next child can be celebrated.
Finally: A staff member will come to each car to collect returned items::
all classroom leveled reading books and library books
packets/completed ELA, math, science, social studies papers, and
GCS I-pad (If you have one)
Optional: Parents are welcome to decorate their car with window chalk, balloons or
Posters
See you soon!
